A highlight of a my summer holidays this year was to spend 3 days hanging out with some of my closest friends and colleagues working in screendance. Initiated 10 years ago by myself and Claudia Kappenberg (University of Brighton), through a successful AHRC funding bid, the Screendance Network met up, over 4 years, in the UK and USA, and gave rise to the International Journal of Screendance, which has itself just published its 10th issue (https://screendancejournal.org). In July 2019, with the generous support of Dance North, the members of the original research group reconvened for an intense and inspiring few days of conversation and sharing of ideas, research and laughter.
